Subsequent Afya Elimu fund is now open. Application can by either visiting www.hef.co.ke or Downlod HELB App or Dial USSD *642#. How to make subsequent application for Afya Elimu fund using HELB App
1. Go to the Google Play Store and download the HELB Mobile Application.
2. Register your details on the HELB App, including your first name, phone number, email address, national ID, and KRA PIN number. This will generate a PIN for you to log in and accept the license agreement.
3. Make sure to use your Safaricom number, the one you use for Mpesa transactions, and ensure it is registered in your name.
4. Read the mandatory Financial literacy notes and complete a brief Question & Answer session to understand the purpose of credit. Scroll down to view the results and click “proceed.”
5. Click on the “loans” section and select “undergraduate loans” to access the Undergraduate Subsequent Loan Application Form [LAF].
6. Follow each step to provide the required details and submit the form.
7. A pop-up message will confirm that your application has been successfully submitted, and it will also display your loan serial number.
How to make subsequent application for Afya Elimu fund using USSD *642#
1. Dial *642# on your phone.
2. Select option 1.
3. Enter your PIN.
4. Choose the option for loan application.
5. Select Subsequent Loan.
6. Accept the loan terms by choosing option 1.
7. Verify your phone number by selecting the appropriate option.
8. Pay one shilling to verify your phone number. Use your ID number as the account number.
9. After receiving the verification message, repeat the procedure from where we left off.
10. Click on “Request loan.”
11. Enter your PIN and send.
12. You will receive a message confirming the receipt of your subsequent loan application for the specified year. The message will include a serial number (e.g., Serial number: 133234324).
